Imagination has no end and neither has the technology! As long as the human brain keeps pumping up new and absurd ideas the quest of man to transform insanity into reality is not going to cease. When smartphones came around, most of us thought, err, can a phone do this all? As we settled down with the concept of smartphones and later on smart TV, another smart innovation came spot-on: smart watch!

If you happen to be an avid wrist ‘watch-er’ than you are going to love this blog for sure! A smart watch does make sense. This watch compatible with the smartphones will make it easier for the user to get connected to the world around. iWatch – yes, that’s Apple!
Needless to say that Apple can’t afford to be a laggard- whatever it is. So we do have rumors that Apple is working with Intel on developing their smart watch the iWatch. It is expected to be announced this year as the patent is confirmed by BBC. The watch will let the user to answer calls, read text messages and even use the social networking sites. Seems like it will soon become a must-have accessory for the iPhone!
Samsung Galaxy Altis:
Quite recently, screenshots for the Samsung smart watch, Galaxy Altis, surfaced online like wild fire. So yes, there are chances that Samsung is planning to release smart watch, too. Where the competition is this severe, the tech giants have little option but not to ignore!
Other Brands:
Other brands have been quick to jump on the bandwagon and there are several brands of smart watches already in the market. These smart watches are compatible with the major smartphone platforms- Android, iPhone and BlackBerry and have the similar specs, too.
Is Smart Watch Concept All That Novel?
It’s not that the concept is entirely new: LG rolled out a watch phone back in 2009 which was precisely a phone fused with the watch. But obviously the features were far less because by then, facebook integration in the phones was not something too common.
But these smart watches are and would be at the very best, peripherals to the existing technology- paired with the Android or iPhone. That’s not the issue here, what really is mind blowing is the convenience and yes, there is the element of awe to it, too. After all these watches do make my heart skip a beat!
